Jolrael, Mwonvuli Recluse and On the Trail need you to draw a second card which is way easier on your turn, but as you can see from my list, totally obtainable on an opponent's turn

Easily one of the best cards in the Fallout Commander decks, V.A.T.S.s killer feature is Split Second
This makes Grim Backwoods particularly useful in decks that benefit from creature sacrifice mechanics, often seen in black and green decks where creatures can be reanimated or their death triggers are advantageous
There are cards in the deck to support both of these strategies, like Hama Pashar, Ruin Seeker and Dungeon Map for dungeons or Grave Endeavor and Murder of Crows for the sacrifice/reanimation mechanics
Its onerous to have to consider playing a mana behind curve whenever the opponent has an Island and unknown cards in hand, and excruciating whenever you forget holding back that mana
