Its really simple as well, and all you need is a toothpick and possibly water (toothpicks are seriously the best tool Ive found for altering after the actual paintbrush)
It can remove one permanent for each player, allowing you - for four mana - to deal with the biggest threats on board, and pick off a Sol Ring or two while you're at it
When Smash is good it is outstanding but when it is bad it does nothing which is unacceptable in a deck that requires redundancy and consistency while lacking much in the way of card quality and draw
Even just drawing two cards with this will feel good, and between its own ability to amass charge counters and all the other ways to put counters on it in this deck, it can give you insurmountable card advantage
Counterattacks against opponents who were not expecting it
